Summary
Cabiria, a fiercely optimistic prostitute working the outskirts of Rome, refuses to let repeated betrayals crush her dream of finding real love and a better life. Through a string of encounters - including a movie star's whim, a religious pilgrimage, and a courtship that seems too good to be true - she keeps reaching for happiness despite the world's cruelty.
