Summary
Chris Hemsworth puts himself through six challenges devised with longevity scientists, among them the physician Peter Attia, to test what is actually known about extending healthy human life. He swims in Arctic water off Norway, walks a line strung between cranes high above Sydney, goes four days without eating, and — aged into an old man with prosthetics — moves into a retirement community to sit with the fact of his own death. Each stunt is framed by laboratory testing and interviews with researchers on stress, strength, memory and mortality. National Geographic made the documentary series with Darren Aronofsky's Protozoa Pictures for Disney+.
