Summary
In 1862 rural Ireland, an English nurse is sent to observe an eleven-year-old girl who is said to have survived for months without food, supposedly a miracle. As she keeps watch alongside a nun, the nurse grows convinced something is deeply wrong and must decide how far to go to save the child from the family and community invested in the legend.
