Summary
Spanning from the late 1930s to the 1950s, this romantic drama follows the unlikely relationship between Katie Morosky, a fiercely political Jewish activist, and Hubbell Gardiner, a charming, easygoing WASP writer who meet in college. Their love endures through World War II and a move to Hollywood, but their fundamental differences in temperament and conviction are tested when the Red Scare and the blacklist era arrive.
