Summary
After Earth's destruction in the future, intelligent chimpanzees Cornelius and Zira travel back in time to 1970s Los Angeles in a salvaged spacecraft. Initially celebrated as curiosities by the public and scientific community, the pregnant Zira and her husband soon face suspicion and fear from government officials who worry about what their existence means for humanity's future.
