Summary
Dean Corso, a cynical rare-book dealer, is hired by a wealthy collector to authenticate a 17th-century occult text said to summon the Devil by comparing it against the only two other surviving copies. As Corso travels across Europe tracking down the books, he is shadowed by a mysterious woman and finds that everyone connected to the volumes ends up dead.
