Summary
A mockumentary chronicling the life of Emmet Ray, a fictional 1930s jazz guitarist who considers himself second only to Django Reinhardt. Brilliant on guitar but a self-absorbed, kleptomaniac drunk offstage, Emmet stumbles through a tender romance with a mute laundress named Hattie and a turbulent marriage to a writer, all while sabotaging his own happiness.
