Summary
Divine, living incognito as Babs Johnson with her eccentric family in a trailer outside Baltimore, holds the title of 'the filthiest person alive.' When the depraved Marble couple, Connie and Raymond, scheme to steal her crown, a gleefully grotesque feud erupts. John Waters' notorious midnight-movie provocation revels in trash aesthetics and shock comedy as the rivals try to out-disgust each other.
