Summary
A dramatization of the pivotal June 1942 naval battle in the Pacific, in which U.S. forces, aided by broken Japanese codes, confront a larger Imperial fleet near Midway Atoll. The film interweaves the strategic planning of commanders like Admiral Nimitz with the personal story of a Navy officer whose son is a pilot romantically involved with a Japanese-American woman held in an internment camp.
