Summary
Eleven-year-old Anna was conceived as a genetic match to provide transfusions and transplants for her older sister Kate, who has leukemia. When Anna is asked to donate a kidney, she hires a lawyer to sue her parents for medical emancipation, fracturing the family and forcing them to confront painful questions about love, sacrifice, and bodily autonomy.
