Summary
In East Berlin around the fall of the Wall, a devoted young son discovers that the shock of seeing a reunified Germany could kill his mother, a committed socialist who awakens from a coma months after the GDR has collapsed. To protect her fragile heart, he goes to elaborate lengths to recreate the vanished East German world inside her bedroom, staging fake newscasts and hunting down discontinued products.
