Summary
In 1962 New York, bestselling author Barbara Novak arrives to promote her book 'Down with Love,' which urges women to forgo romance in favor of career and casual pleasure. Star journalist Catcher Block, a notorious ladies' man, sets out to expose her as a fraud by posing as a naive astronaut and making her fall in love with him. A glossy, candy-colored homage to the Doris Day-Rock Hudson sex comedies follows, complete with twisty role reversals.
Down with Love is a 2003 comedy and romance film. Its comedy subtype is Romcom.
A second review pool sits behind it as well: 2,806 Rotten Tomatoes reviewers clear the same calibration test, and Rankquant scores them separately.
