Summary
In 1941, an idealistic New York playwright is lured to Hollywood to write a wrestling picture for a bullying studio mogul. Holed up in a strange, decaying hotel and crippled by writer's block, he strikes up an uneasy friendship with the gregarious traveling salesman next door, as increasingly bizarre and nightmarish events close in around him.
