Summary
Mick O'Brien is a teenage Chicago delinquent whose attempt to rip off a drug delivery belonging to rival Paco Moreno goes wrong, and Paco's little brother is killed under the wheels of Mick's car during the getaway. Sent to the Rainford juvenile correctional facility, Mick finds the tiers effectively run by the inmates, with a hulking enforcer named Viking at the top, and has to fight to hold any ground at all. Paco takes his revenge on the outside by assaulting Mick's girlfriend J.C., which lands him in the same institution with nowhere for either of them to avoid the other. Rick Rosenthal's juvenile-prison drama stars Sean Penn and Esai Morales, with early roles for Ally Sheedy and Clancy Brown.
