“We finally got tired of French food and wandered into small Italian restaurant in Avignon tonight… and they only had 2 reds on the list but luckily this Tuscan blend was a pleasant surprise. More fruit forward than expected but still well balanced, with notes of cherry, raspberry, licorice, cocoa and coffee. Minimal use of new oak, medium acidity, 13.5% alcohol, and minimal tannins on a smooth finish. Not sure of exact blend, thinking Sangiovese dominant, would buy again, good QPR, cheers!”
