What reviewers say
“Gama baja de esta más que correcta bodega y además de un buen amigo, pero he de reconocer que este vino es de perfil bajo. Otros de los mismos viñedos son espectaculares. Además creo que el precio está inflado por el grupo bodeguero al que pertenece, pero... el mercado es así. Es golosete, afrutado, muy rojo en todo su tránsito, pero... bastante corto en todas sus fases. Ea, un vino más para salir del paso en una noche normalita”

Summary
An attractive wine at first look, with good intensity and a purple rim. Very lively. On the nose we find a good bouquet of fruit, both red and black, excellently combined with fine, elegant wood. There are also very marked licorice tones typical of the variety and finishing with fine sweet nuances. The mouth is wide and flavourful, with clean, fine wood but, as in the nose, the fruit is also present, leaving you with a long memory and length.
Tarsus Ribera del Duero Roble is a Spanish red from Ribera del Duero. The grape is Tinta Del Pais.
The cohort it is ranked inside holds 178 Spanish reds. The calibrated figure is built from 689 reviewers whose rating history varies enough to place their own average. A broader pool of 702 reviewers with two or more ratings feeds the raw-average track instead.
How the score was built
We compare the reviewers of this bottle against every other wine those same people reviewed. Each review is scored relative to the reviewer's own baseline — four stars from someone who hands out fives means something very different from four stars from someone who rarely goes above three. Every reviewer then counts the same, so the result is a calibrated consensus rather than a star average.
- Global percentile
- Where Tarsus Ribera del Duero Roble lands against every wine we rank.
- In-cohort percentile
- The same comparison narrowed to its cohort — wines of the same type from the same country. A Chilean red is judged against Chilean reds, not against Champagne. Ranked against Red · España (178 wines).
- AI-adjusted percentile
- The same reviewer-normalized score, corrected for how much confidence the sample supports: thin samples are pulled toward the corpus average. Each wine keeps the share n / (n + 53) of its measured distance from the average, where n is its calibrated-reviewer count, and the result is ranked on the same scale as the global percentile.53 is the median sample size across everything we rank. Here n is 689.
