Is Langenlois Ried Käferberg a good wine?
What reviewers say
“First wine in Austria. This is what Grüner Veltliner should be all about when done well. The grapes come from one of the six Erste Lage sites in the Kamptal. Great microclimate and soil. Impressive purity of fruit/ concentration.”
From a top-rated Vivino review for this bottle.
Summary
The first impression is given through green and yellow fruit aromas mixed with soft herb & spice notes. With its peppery flavor, this is a traditional Grüner Veltliner. The palate is tight, yet demonstrates fine fruitiness, power and a cool, spicy mineral character.
