“Larchago 2020 Crianza - 100 % Tempranillo - 14,5 % vol. Família Chávarri-Rioja Alavesa-Espanha 🇪🇸 Photo By Mi Taraborelli - SP - Brasil 🇧🇷 Degustado em: Outubro de 2024 Maturação: 14 meses barricas americanas. Cor vermelha rubi escura. Aroma de frutas vermelhas e negras, baunilha, pimenta. Na boca uma deliciosa acidez salivante, com taninos maduros, seco, frutado, seco com longo final, encorpado e delicioso, minha primeira prova desse espanhol 🇪🇸, 4.1🍷”

Summary
Intense cherry red tone, of medium-high layer, with violaceous borders.Aromatic complex, the aging has been balanced to obtain a good balance between the aromas ceded by the oak respecting the aromas of varietal fruit, ripe and small fruits of the forest. It is an expressive wine in the mouth, very tasty and full of flavors. It develops a harmony in the palate from its sweet and elegant tannins. The aftertaste is clean and persistent, with pleasant memories.
From Rioja in Spain, Larchago Crianza is a red. It is made from Tempranillo. It sits in the $15–30 band, on a lowest observed 750 ml price of $20.00.
Its in-cohort standing is measured against 434 other reds from Spain, not against the corpus as a whole. 513 Vivino reviewers rate with enough spread for a personal baseline to be measured, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 540 reviewers with at least two ratings each feeds the raw-average track.
How the score was built
We compare the reviewers of this bottle against every other wine those same people reviewed. Each review is scored relative to the reviewer's own baseline — four stars from someone who hands out fives means something very different from four stars from someone who rarely goes above three. Every reviewer then counts the same, so the result is a calibrated consensus rather than a star average.
- Global percentile
- Where Larchago Crianza lands against every wine we rank.
- In-cohort percentile
- The same comparison narrowed to its cohort — wines of the same type from the same country. A Chilean red is judged against Chilean reds, not against Champagne. Ranked against Red · Spain (435 wines).
- AI-adjusted percentile
- The same reviewer-normalized score, corrected for how much confidence the sample supports: thin samples are pulled toward the corpus average. Each wine keeps the share n / (n + 53) of its measured distance from the average, where n is its calibrated-reviewer count, and the result is ranked on the same scale as the global percentile.53 is the median sample size across everything we rank. Here n is 513.
