Is Gruner Veltliner a good wine?
What reviewers say
“A healthy 3.5+. Unsure how to describe the nose. On the palate a combination of lychee, ginger with a slight oiliness. Reasonable length too. Very nice wine indeed.”
From a top-rated Vivino review for this bottle.
Summary
Nose shows floral notes, leading to rich peach, which filled the senses with a slight effervescence. On the Palate, it was gorgeous with ripe stone fruits saturating the senses and oily textures offset by balanced acidity. The finish was long and seemed to melt from the senses revealing a beautiful refreshing character.
Landhaus Gruner Veltliner is a white from Adelaide Hills, Australia.
Its in-cohort standing is measured against 1,360 other whites from Australia, not against the corpus as a whole. Only 21 of its Vivino reviewers are calibrated, so the calibrated figure rests on a thin sample; a broader pool of 21 reviewers with at least two ratings feeds the raw-average track.
