Is Juhfark a good wine?
What reviewers say
“This 2022 Hungarian white wine, crafted from the indigenous Juhfark grape in the Somló region, presents a pale golden hue. The nose reveals aromas of citrus fruits, pear, and a hint of honey, complemented by the distinctive minerality typical of volcanic soils.”
From a top-rated Vivino review for this bottle.
Summary
Flowers, fruits and salty, mineral tones of the Somali terror in the nose give the wine a cool character. Round, medium bodied Juhfark with intense fruitiness and refreshing acidity. Citrus fruits, pear and exotic fruits last in the aftertaste and the salty aroma comes back on the palate.
Kreinbacher Juhfark is a white from Nagy-Somló, Hungary.
Its in-cohort standing is measured against 9 other whites from Hungary, not against the corpus as a whole. 340 Vivino reviewers are calibrated for this bottle, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 344 reviewers with at least two ratings each feeds the raw-average track.
