“In de neus veel rood fruit, rozijnen, hazelnoot en licht wat honing. Op de tong komen deze smaken (behalve de honing) terug. De port is erg zacht en heeft nog wat zuren die enige balans bieden tegenover het zoete. Het zoete maskeert de tannines, maar ze zijn er wel degelijk. De 19.5% alcohol zorgt voor een verwarmend gevoel achter in de keel en een klein scherp randje. Mooi rijk en rond mondgevoel. Afdronk is medium- en had iets langer gemogen.”
