Is Chardonnay a good wine?
What reviewers say
“Nice Chardonnay from central Greece ( Krania Olympou, a village located in Olympus mountain, Thessalia ) and from a winery which usually produces high quality wines (Katsaros estate)even some of them are a little overrated and overpriced.”
From a top-rated Vivino review for this bottle.
Summary
Wine is pale yellow with tinges of green. On the nose it offers floral notes with white fruit such as green apple and lemon, with a pronounced minerality. On the palate, the wine has aromas of ripe peach, pineapple and yellow apple with a touch of hazelnut and butter. The wine is medium bodied with a long finish. It has a bright acidity that gives it a beautiful backbone and a great potential for ageing.
Katsaros Chardonnay is a white from Krania, Greece.
Its in-cohort standing is measured against 307 other whites from Greece, not against the corpus as a whole. 308 Vivino reviewers are calibrated for this bottle, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 318 reviewers with at least two ratings each feeds the raw-average track.
