Is Berg Roseneck Riesling a good wine?
What reviewers say
“Hög intens doft av gul och grön frukt, mynta, kryddor, mineral. Komplex på både doft och smak. Rik och koncentrerad. Tilltalande. Lång eftersmak. God!”
From a top-rated Vivino review for this bottle.
Summary
Wine Advocate Predictably firm and bright, the Breuer 2009 Rudesheimer Berg Roseneck Riesling offers salty and zesty finishing invigoration along with alkaline and fruit pit notes. This finishes blazingly and strikingly mineral as well as buoyant, if undeniably austere. I would plan on revisiting it within 4-5 years to reconsider whether there will be good reason to hold it for longer. ____ Georg Breuer has always been at the forefront of Germany's dry Riesling movement. Rheingau is one of the smallest premium winegrowing regions in Germany. It's southfacing steep slopes are protected from the cold northerly winds, giving ideal ripening conditions. This wine is brilliant pale yellow with green tints. It has an intensely aromatic nose with floral characters of rose bushes. Dry on the palate with a refined fruit character and light body. A sensual wine.
Georg Breuer Berg Roseneck Riesling is a German white from Rüdesheim. The cheapest 750 ml listing found for it is $135, which puts the bottle in the $120-and-up band.
