Is Les Culs de Beaujeu Sancerre a good wine?
Tasting profile
An unusually rich and complex Sancerre that drinks closer to an oaked white, with lemon, pear, floral and grassy notes layered over buttery, creamy, nutty depth. Full-bodied and high in alcohol, it finishes long and expressive - elegant, atypical, and a standout among Sauvignon Blancs.
Synthesized from 406Vivino reviewers' tasting notes for this bottle.
What reviewers say
“I love this wine. On the face of it you say Chardonnay. Steel grey green colour. Lemon on nose but then lots of oak and nuts. Well balanced and rich wine. It is Sancerre!!”
From a top-rated Vivino review for this bottle.
