Is El Bosque Winemaker's Choice Syrah a good wine?
What reviewers say
“A soft but peppery shiraz that is mild on the palate. Decent value for a high quality Chilean wine. Would pair well with red meats as well as fried starchy foods like fries, potatoes or snacks.”
From a top-rated Vivino review for this bottle.
Summary
It has a deep, highly concentrated purple hue present, and a nose of black fruits and blackberry blossoms with a slight hint of tobacco and cloves. Complex flavors of black tea, black pepper, and wild plums come forward on the tongue with lingering acid and weighty tannins.
Casablanca El Bosque Winemaker's Choice Syrah is Shiraz Syrah grown in Casablanca Valley, bottled as a red.
Only 30 of its Vivino reviewers are calibrated, so the calibrated figure rests on a thin sample; a broader pool of 32 reviewers with at least two ratings feeds the raw-average track. 443 other reds from Chile form the cohort it is ranked inside.
