Is Cava Boutari a good wine?
What reviewers say
“🌏 The initial few sips were disappointing, but after several minutes in the glass it turned out not to be too bad. A cuvée of Xinomavro, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, contrary to the Greek restaurateur's opinion, went quite well with the gyros with rice.”
From a top-rated Vivino review for this bottle.
Summary
Deep red colour with terracotta tints, a rich bouquet from ageing, with distinct aromas of dried fruit, plum, fig, and forest fruit jam. These co-exist with sweet spices, with vanilla dominating. Rich taste, excellent balance, complexity and long aftertaste.
