Summary
A group of friends hiking the Appalachian Trail in Virginia stray from the path and run afoul of The Foundation, a hidden community of people who have lived in the mountains since before the Civil War. As the hikers are hunted and captured, one young woman's father searches the region to find his missing daughter and uncover what happened. This reboot reimagines the franchise away from its inbred-cannibal origins toward a self-sufficient mountain society.
Wrong Turn is a 2021 drama, horror and mystery film.
Rotten Tomatoes carries a separate audience for the same title, 191 of whom clear the calibration test. Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 7,929 2020s films, not against the whole corpus. The calibrated figure is built from 769 of its IMDb reviewers. A broader pool of 797 reviewers with two or more reviews feeds the raw-average track instead.
