Summary
This documentary miniseries chronicles the rise and fall of the Rajneeshpuram commune in 1980s Oregon, where followers of Indian guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh built a utopian city in the rural high desert. As tensions escalate with neighboring townspeople and authorities, the movement's leadership, spearheaded by spokesperson Ma Anand Sheela, resorts to increasingly extreme measures, leading to one of the most bizarre conflicts in American history.
