Summary
An American remake of the British improvisation showcase, taped before a studio audience and hosted by Drew Carey, who sets up each round, collects suggestions from the crowd and awards points he cheerfully admits mean nothing. Four comedians — regulars Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie and Wayne Brady, plus a rotating fourth chair — play short-form games such as Scenes from a Hat, Party Quirks, Props and Questions Only, inventing characters, scenes and whole songs on the spot to Laura Hall's piano accompaniment. Nothing is scripted, and the half-hour broadcast is edited down from a much longer taping that ends with the host handing the 'winners' a closing bit to perform.
