Summary

A biopic tracing the early career of country music legend Johnny Cash, from his hardscrabble Arkansas childhood and Air Force years through his breakthrough at Sun Records and grueling life on the road. As addiction and a crumbling first marriage threaten to destroy him, Cash pursues fellow singer June Carter, whose steady presence becomes his anchor toward recovery and the iconic Folsom Prison performance.

Walk the Line is a 2005 biography, drama and music film.

Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 7,846 2000s films, not against the whole corpus. A second review pool sits behind it as well: 23,420 Rotten Tomatoes reviewers clear the same calibration test, and Rankquant scores them separately. 721 IMDb reviewers are calibrated for this title, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 761 reviewers with at least two reviews each feeds the raw-average track.
