Summary
Steven Soderbergh's interwoven drama follows the war on drugs from multiple angles: a newly appointed U.S. drug czar discovering his own daughter's addiction, two DEA agents protecting a witness against a cartel kingpin, and a Tijuana cop navigating the corruption of Mexico's anti-narcotics effort. The braided storylines expose the futility and moral compromises on every side of the trade.
