Summary
An American ophthalmologist travels to France after his estranged son dies in the Pyrenees while beginning the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. Grieving and seeking to understand his son, he decides to walk the ancient route to Santiago de Compostela himself, falling in with a group of fellow pilgrims along the way.
