Summary
A pathologist discovers that fear produces a parasitic creature, the Tingler, that grows along the human spine and can only be subdued by screaming. He obtains a specimen from a deaf-mute woman literally scared to death by her scheming husband, but the creature escapes his lab and runs loose in a movie theater.
