Summary
Ingrid, a successful author, reconnects with Martha, an old friend and war correspondent who is now terminally ill with cancer. Martha asks Ingrid to be present in the next room when she chooses to end her life on her own terms, and the two women retreat to a rented house in the countryside to spend her final days together reflecting on life, art, and mortality.
