Z-normalized corrects for reviewer bias (every reviewer re-centered onto their personal scale). Raw average uses simple mean across the broader pool including stddev=0 reviewers. The 17-point gap is the rating-inflation signature for this title — discriminating reviewers liked it more than the casual crowd.

Summary

In a post-apocalyptic America scorched by an unnamed catastrophe, a dying father and his young son journey south on foot toward the coast, pushing a shopping cart of meager supplies. They navigate ash-covered ruins, starvation, and roving bands of cannibals while the father struggles to keep his son alive and morally intact. Based on Cormac McCarthy's novel, the film is a stark meditation on love, survival, and carrying the fire of humanity.
