Summary
After his wife's sudden death, documentary filmmaker Michael King sets out to disprove the existence of God and the supernatural by inviting demonologists, occultists, and mediums to perform rituals on him while he films everything. As the experiments continue, Michael begins suffering disturbing physical and psychological changes, and it becomes clear something has taken hold of him.
Released in 2014, The Possession of Michael King is a drama, fantasy and horror film.
Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 13,058 2010s films, not against the whole corpus. A second review pool sits behind it as well: 104 Rotten Tomatoes reviewers clear the same calibration test, and Rankquant scores them separately. 127 IMDb reviewers are calibrated for this title, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 129 reviewers with at least two reviews each feeds the raw-average track.
