Summary
Lieutenant Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) of Police Squad returns from an assignment in Beirut to find his partner Nordberg (O.J. Simpson) shot and left for dead aboard a ship linked to a heroin operation. Investigating with Captain Ed Hocken (George Kennedy), Drebin traces the ship to Los Angeles businessman Vincent Ludwig (Ricardo Montalbán), falls for Ludwig's assistant Jane Spencer (Priscilla Presley), and uncovers a plan to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to the city, which lands him in disguise at a California Angels game. Directed by David Zucker and expanded from the ZAZ team's series Police Squad!, it plays its detective plot straight while packing every frame with sight gags and puns.
