Summary
A British-French anthology drama created by Harry and Jack Williams. The first series follows Tony Hughes, a father whose young son Oliver vanishes during a family holiday in France in 2006, and the obsessive eight-year search that follows. Told across dual timelines, it tracks French detective Julien Baptiste and the toll the disappearance takes on Tony's marriage and sanity as buried secrets surface in the town.
Released in 2014, The Missing is a crime, drama and mystery television series.
Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 3,235 2010s television series, not against the whole corpus. A second review pool sits behind it as well: 36 Rotten Tomatoes reviewers clear the same calibration test, and Rankquant scores them separately. 136 IMDb reviewers are calibrated for this title, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 142 reviewers with at least two reviews each feeds the raw-average track.
