The 15-point gap is the rating-inflation signature for this title — discriminating reviewers liked it more than the casual crowd.

Summary

A docudrama hybrid chronicling the final years of Russia's Romanov dynasty under Tsar Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra. Blending dramatized scenes with expert historian commentary, the series follows the imperial family's struggles with their hemophiliac heir, the rise of the mystic Grigori Rasputin, and the mounting political unrest that culminates in the Russian Revolution.
