Summary
Two women on opposite sides of the Atlantic, both unlucky in love, swap homes for the Christmas holidays. Iris, a London journalist hung up on a coworker, settles into Amanda's Los Angeles mansion, while Amanda, a high-strung trailer-cut producer, retreats to Iris's snowy English cottage. Each unexpectedly meets a local man - Amanda crosses paths with Iris's brother Graham, and Iris befriends a film composer and an elderly screenwriter - and begins to rebuild her life.
