Summary
At the remote Polaris VI Antarctic research station, a skeleton crew of scientists is left behind to continue critical climate research through the long polar winter. When the summer team returns months later, they find most of the winter crew dead or missing, and the station's commander must piece together what happened from a traumatized survivor's fractured account.
