Summary
In 1930s Korea under Japanese rule, a young pickpocket is hired as a handmaiden to a wealthy Japanese heiress living on a remote estate with her sinister uncle. She is part of a con man's scheme to seduce the heiress, steal her fortune, and have her committed to an asylum, but the plan grows tangled as loyalties and desires shift.
