Summary
In the final months of World War II, U.S. Army Rangers and Filipino guerrillas mount a daring mission deep behind Japanese lines to liberate over 500 American POWs held at the Cabanatuan prison camp in the Philippines. Based on true events, the film intercuts the raid's planning with the desperate struggle of the captives and an underground network in Manila smuggling supplies and medicine into the camp.
