Summary
In 1920s Long Island, bond salesman Nick Carraway becomes the neighbor of Jay Gatsby, a mysterious millionaire who throws lavish parties at his mansion. Gatsby enlists Nick to help reconnect him with Daisy Buchanan, Nick's cousin and Gatsby's lost love from years earlier, who is now unhappily married to the wealthy and unfaithful Tom Buchanan. Their rekindled affair sets off a tragic collision of class, obsession, and illusion.
