Summary
Two hard-nosed New York City narcotics detectives, Jimmy 'Popeye' Doyle and Buddy Russo, stumble onto what looks like a routine lead and uncover a massive heroin smuggling operation being run out of France. As they tail their suspects through the gritty streets of Brooklyn, Doyle becomes obsessed with bringing down the elegant French mastermind behind the shipment.
