Summary
In 1952, a massive nor'easter splits the oil tanker SS Pendleton in half off the coast of Cape Cod. A small Coast Guard crew led by Bernie Webber sets out in a tiny motorized lifeboat across treacherous seas to attempt a near-impossible rescue, while the surviving tanker crew, led by engineer Ray Sybert, fights to keep their crippled ship afloat long enough to be saved.
The Finest Hours is a 2016 action, drama and history film.
The calibrated figure is built from 212 of its IMDb reviewers. A broader pool of 216 reviewers with two or more reviews feeds the raw-average track instead. Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 13,058 2010s films, not against the whole corpus. Rotten Tomatoes carries a separate audience for the same title, 584 of whom clear the calibration test.
