Summary
In an alternate 1990s America where a robot uprising has been suppressed and machines exiled to a quarantined zone, orphaned teenager Michelle sets out across the desolate Southwest with a mysterious toy-like robot to find her missing younger brother. Along the way she teams up with a drifter and his robot sidekick, uncovering a corporate conspiracy tied to a neural-interface technology. Based on Simon Stalenhag's illustrated novel.
