Summary
A Netflix prequel to Jim Henson's 1982 film, made with animatronic puppets and set on the world of Thra generations before the original story. The Skeksis, the vulture-like lords who rule from the Castle of the Crystal, have found that draining the life essence of the Gelfling restores their youth, while a corruption called the Darkening spreads through Thra itself. Three Gelfling from different clans — castle guard Rian (Taron Egerton), Vapran princess Brea (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Grottan cave-dweller Deet (Nathalie Emmanuel) — each uncover part of this and try to rally seven mutually suspicious clans against masters they have revered for a thousand years. Louis Leterrier directed all ten episodes.
