Summary
After a military plane carrying an experimental bioweapon crashes near the small town of Evans City, Pennsylvania, the water supply is contaminated with a virus that drives the infected to madness or death. The Army moves in to quarantine the town, while a small group of residents, including a firefighter and his pregnant girlfriend, try to escape the chaos as soldiers and the afflicted turn equally dangerous.
