Summary
When Earth's molten core stops rotating, the planet's magnetic field begins to collapse, threatening catastrophic destruction. A team of scientists and astronauts, dubbed terranauts, board an experimental burrowing vessel to journey to the center of the Earth and detonate nuclear devices to restart the core's rotation.
